Final project finale

Image
After the black was sanded, and the latex was taken off, I would apply a brown wash to the piece, getting in the crevices. before applying a matte clear coat, and calling it a wrap of the piece.

Final project part 4

After applying the liquid latex, I painted it a gloss red, then applied a matte black, the black acted weird, so I ended up sanding it down abit and decided to blend it weathering.

Final project progress 3

For today, I finished sanding with 800 grit sand paper, then after wet sanding, I sprayed it with kyrlon filler primer and will be painting the base with a krylon metallic aluminum color.

Been making good progress. More sanding, and filling again yesterday. Used sandpaper of 220, all the way to 600.

I got my print back, it came back perfect, see last photo. when I got home I covered it in bondo, least the parts that were easier to get at, when I go home I will begin sanding it, I will finish it like I was finishing one of my cosplay pieces, with the goal of getting a glass smooth finish.

Finishing project 2

After filling, I applied a layer of krylon metallic silver onto it, after it dried, I applied liquid latex called humbrol maskol onto the piece to mask certain areas, before spraying a coat of krylon gloss blue onto it. I then peeled the latex off the heart to fully reveal the chipped layer effect.
